The transition to green energy requires the large-scale roll-out of novel technologies. What materials make up these technologies, and how do we plan for the end of their service life? This October Enerbeer we welcome Dina Maniar, Assistant Professor at the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials and PhD student in her group, Marta Castelnovo, to explore polymer sustainability within the context of the energy transition. Through the example of solar cell encapsulation, we will discuss the challenges in ensuring that green technologies are themselves composed of materials that adhere to green principles.

The enerbeer will be hosted at Lust (Oude Kijk in Het Jatstraat 58, 9712 EL Groningen) and as always, a free drink will be provided!
