Summit: Together Towards Net Zero
Summit is an independent project management and consulting firm dedicated to accelerating the energy transition. Based in Groningen, we support companies and public institutions in developing sustainable energy projects, improving energy efficiency, and designing integrated energy systems. Our mission is clear: to reduce CO₂ emissions and contribute to a carbon-neutral future together with our partners.
The idea for Summit was born at high altitude during a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. Founders Arjan Hartemink and Robbert van der Pluijm, both former technical managers at Gasunie, not only found inspiration for the company’s name on the mountain, but also a renewed sense of purpose. Witnessing the melting glaciers at the summit made the impact of climate change impossible to ignore. For Arjan and Robbert, one thing became clear: the time to act is now.
