Committees
Overview of Atmos's committees
Committees are the heart of a study association. Currently, Atmos has five active committees, which all play integral parts in organising and documenting events. This page gives an overview of all committees, members of Atmos can find more information and the members of each committee on the seperate committee pages.
Social Committee
The Social Committee is in charge of organising social activities thato give all Atmos members the chance to meet students from different years and get together outside the academic atmosphere. Additionally, the Social Committee organises multiple inclusivity activities throughout the year. They plan events such as the monthly drinks and pubquizes, a yearly winter dinner and end-of-year party, and much more!
Student Energy
Student Energy is a global network of youths who want to be part of the energy use and transition movement. Their goal is to wenhance the spread and knowledge of energy transition and involve different stakeholders in the conversation. The Student Energy Committee is the Groningen Chapter of this global network. Their events include monthly Enerbeers and a yearly Symposium, which are always open for non-members to join. Join our events to be a part of the ever growing energy community!
Career Committee
The Career Committee is responsible for organizing the career related events of Atmos. These events help our members get in contact with interesting companies and get an idea of what their future career might look like. The events we organize include the career days but also smaller and more informal activities such as a CV check.
Besides the career activities, the Career Committee is Atmos' sustainability committee. Sustainability is highly valued within Atmos and the activties we organise help make the association more sustainable and raise awareness of how to be more sustainable amongst our members. In the past these events include actvities such as harvesting trees, mending clothes and cleaning beaches.
Procrastination Committee
The Procrastination Committee is responsible for organizing mental health activities for Atmos members and help the Commissioner of Educational Affairs with organizing educational events. Additionally, this committee alllows a relaxing atmosphere at any time for members to come together and plan an event (or not).
Photo Committee
The Photo Committee is responsible for taking pictures at events and uploading these pictures on the website. In this way, Atmos events are captured and saved.
