Climate litigation, before national and international courts, is on the rise. In 2025 the International Court of Justice delivered an Advisory Opinion on climate change at the request of  the United Nations general Assembly. This opinion will guide other courts on the application of the applicable rules and principles of international law. During this Enerbeer Prof. Dr. Marcel Brus will discuss some of the most important aspects of this Advisory Opinion.
