Sander's Dark Chocolate and Oreo Brownies
On the 18th of April 2023, we celebrated Atmos' 4th birthday! The Board made many vegan baked goods for the occassion. Since they were so popular, we wanted to share the recipes with you. All recipes are of course vegan. In this blog you can find the recipe for Sander's Dark Chocolate and Oreo brownies:
Ingredients:
- 300 grams sugar
- 250 grams flour
- 70 gram cocao powder
- 24 grams vanilla sugar
- 250 mL coffee
- 250 mL sunflower oil
- 16 grams of baking powder (1 packet)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1.5 tbsp salt
- 1 packet of oreo's
- 1 bar of dark chocolate (vegan)
Recipe:
- Preheat an oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
- Crumble the oreos roughly, save 5 whole oreos for garnishing.
- Chop up the dark chocolate bar, put aside 1/4 for garnish.
- Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix.
- Add the coffee and incorporate everything with a mixer.
- Slowly add the sunflower oil to a desired consistency (It might look like you don't need the oil, but add at least 200 mL). Mix well until a nice batter has formed.
- Add the Oreo chunks and chocolate. Mix with a mixer.
- Use a little oil to coat a rectangular oven dish and pour in the batter.
- Break the Oreos saved for garnishing in half and put them in the batter, also sprinkle the last of the chocolate over it.
- Bake in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes (depending on your oven). Use a toothpick to check inf the brownie is done, if it comes out (as good as) clean it is done.
- Cool down before cutting. Vegan brownies tend to fall apart.
TIP! If you have baking paper, use this to line the baking try for easy removal (still use a little oil).
