Trip to Rotterdam

On the 6th of March we will travel with the New Energy Coalition to Rotterdam for an exciting visit to BlueCity and Stedin. The day starts with a bus ride from Groningen to Rotterdam, where we will be welcomed to BlueCity with a tour into their circular economy followed by a circular-produced lunch meal. From here we will travel to the Port of Rotterdam, where we will learn about how the operations run here and the large Dutch industrial epicenter. This tour is followed by a site-visit to Stedin to learn about their Power-to-Gas facility, producing methane from green hydrogen and CO2. See more info on the visits below:

BlueCity
BlueCity is a swimming pool full of opportunities. BlueCity is focused on the circular economy. It is an incubator for innovative companies which connect their waste streams. In this ecosystem, one company’s output is the others’ input. We will get a tour around the place and look at some cool projects that are currently running here.

Stedin
At Stedin we will visit and get a tour around a Power2Gas installation. This installation uses the surplus of energy, which is generated sustainably, to create sustainable gases. Our guide, a Stedin Expert Asset Manager, is going to show us around and explain how it works. So, prepare your questions!

Time
The bus departs from Groningen at 7:30 am at the Groningen central station. From here we travel to Rotterdam and back with an expected return at 21:00. We will stop on the way back for an optional dinner break (not included). Should you wish to stay in the Randstad instead of returning to Groningen please let us know beforehand.

Costs
For lunch and travel we ask €5,- for Atmos members and €20,- for non-members.

Terms and Conditions 
To join this trip you must register via this event page between February 20th 12:00 and March 1st 23:59. We have space for 15 people on a first come first serve basis, so sign up asap! In case of oversubscription we will use a waiting list. 

As we want to accommodate as many people as possible, free cancellation is possible until March 3rd 23:59. After this we will charge the full amount from your account.
