As our last Enerbeers was a success, we bring to you Enerbeers 3.0! To continue our discussions about the energy transition during this pandemic, we present to you PhD Franco Ruzzenenti with his talk on "Energy transition or energy trance?"

In the midst of the pandemic crisis we witnessed the largest ever oil glut, with tankers floating around harbours like sharks around a prey, and a global, unprecendented brightening of skies and clearing of waters, which prompted many scholars, activists and politicians to wonder why can't we tackle the issue of climate change the global decarbonatization with the same ardour, but is this the right approach? Is the hectic urgency driven by fear the right attitude? Can we deploy the same zest (or fear) to simply turn off the switch?
